Medical Information

  • You should schedule an annual veterinary check up. Your vet will do a thorough exam of your rabbit to make sure everything is working how it should be.

  • Rabbits can be neutered/spayed. It is safer for your rabbit and can help prevent certain cancers. It also ensures you don't have any "surprises".

  • If you notice your rabbit is not eating like normal, check their teeth, you may need to take them to the vet to get them trimmed.

  • Rabbits can develop issues such as sore hocks, molar spurs, eye infections, and more.

  • Rabbits are very sensitive animals and are not a "wait and see" animal so if you see anything out of the ordinary you should contact your vet immediately!

  • Also keep in mind that not all vets will work on small animals, so call first and ask. If they personally do not work with them, most will have contact information of one who does
